Jaylen Fryberg
In Washington, on the Tulialip Indian Reservation, Jaylen Fryberg shot five students. One was killed and the four others were wounded. Jaylen,a freshman in high school, played on the football team and was the homecoming prince. Many students that spoke about him said that he had a good life and he was popular. He recently had a fight over a girl and they wonder if that had anything to do with the shooting. A teacher ended up stopping him before he shot more people. Tankfully that teacher was in the lunchroom at that time. If she wasn't more students could have gotten shot. He was so young, and now his family and the rest of the people around him suffer because of his actions.

Early Voting!
So far 40% of the ballots were completed by the Republicans and 41% by the Democrats. The turnout has been high this year, compared to the 2010 election. In the past Democrats have always voted early, but this year the Republicans said that they are going to take advantage of voting early and beat the Democrats.

Barley's Last Chance to Win the Senate
Bruce Braley, the Democrat candidate, doesn't have that much time left to win in this election. Democrats lost a lot of support in this race, because of President Obama. In order for Braley to get ahead in the race he needs to deny President Obama's agenda. If he goes against some of Obamas plans, he may receive more support from the Democrats that are against Obama. Braley recently spoke about Ebola. He thought that the Obama administration did not act fast enough, they should have had a better plan to protect the country from Ebola. That could have brought him some more support, but that wont be enough. There is one week left, and if Braley doesn't try and get support from the Democrats that are against Obama's agenda, it will be a close race.

Michelle Obama Seeks Support in Iowa
For the second time this month Michelle Obama traveled to Iowa to urge the citizens to vote for Bruce Braley. Mrs. Obama spoke at colleges, she said that it is up to the younger voters to "step up" and deliver the state for Braley as they did for her husband. The Democrats, especially in Iowa, are depending on the younger generations vote. Braley's win will be crucial for the Democrats to keep control of the Senate. Republicans view Michelle Obamas visits as her trying to gain back support for the Democrats. Recently there has been a decline in support for Democrats because of president Obama.

Iowa Senate Midterm: Extremely Close Race
The Democratic Party felt very confident in the Iowa senate midterm race, but with two weeks left, it seems that they do not like the way the race is going. The national democrats are now investing over a half a million dollars into the race. Last month it was said that the democrats were most likely going to win the Iowa election. With the Democrats investing more money into the campaign it shows that they do not like the way the race is going. There are only two weeks left, the Democrats only have a little time left to try and get back to the position of where they were.
